Manny Pacquiao

In 8,362 crowd, mostly Filipinos and not to mention Boston Celtics’ presence , favorably cheered for Pacman as he enters the ring in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, 28th of June 2008, Saturday. From 130 lbs to 135 lbs to fight the defending Lightweight champion, David Diaz, Mexican-American from Chicago.

Having said that the Mexican-American had defeated the Olympian champion Marquez, Diaz was surprised by Pacman’s speed and strength. Not prepared for the jabs that he received that made him fall for the 9th round that waved off the fight by 2:24 without Referee Vic Drakulich’s countdown.

Winning the title for Lightweight made Pacman the first Filipino and first Asian who held a championship belt world titles in different weight divisions. He walks up starting from 106 lbs in Flyweight; 112 lbs in Junior Featherweight; 122 lbs in Featherweight; 126 lbs where he defeated Marco Antonio Barera; 130 lbs to fight Manuel Marquez; and yesterday’s famous knockout with Diaz by 135 lbs.

Parties for Manny from US to his hometown, our country, Philippines awaits him. So much will be celebrated even after the tremendous effect of typhoon Frank in which he promised to help when he gets home.

Mabuhay ka Manny!

manood ka

Kapapanood ko lang ng You Don't Mess With The Zohan.

Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!

May iba't-ibang bersyon akong nabasa at napanood patungkol dito.
